We need more websites.

In the last 10 years, the internet became too centralized. All activity, discussions, content creation is centered around few big platforms, and it's not good:

Unclear moderation rules, which also can be changed in any moment
Lack of proper search and archiving
It's hard to maintain a civilized discussion: bots, spam, aggressive passers-by, etc.
"Smart feeds" decide what to show to you, giving priority to low-quality commercial content over niche topics

The solution is simple as hell: Build your own projects.

But...

The modern web development has become too complicated.
Not all people in the internets are IT guys, want to learn HTML/CSS/etc.

The answer is a website builder.

But...throughout the history of the web, hundreds of CMSes and constructors have already existed?

Of course there were, but most of them are either for business websites (landing pages, shops, etc.), or too bloated.
I want to create one tailored for the small, user-generated web - fansites, communities, discussion boards, blogs, etc.
Some planned features include:

Modules (posts, galleries, discussions, etc.)
Multi-user system with roles
Theming - from web 1.0 and 2.0 to modern ones
Integration with Fediverse, RSS and other great technologies
No need to know webdev, but easy to extend if you know the basics
Written in PHP to be able to install it on any hosting, using simple technologies without overhead

Of course the sitefrog project will be open-source.
The preferred variant to use it will be to buy any cheap shared hosting and domain, follow simple installation steps in a few minutes and go on. But we'll also provide free hosting on a third-level domain, for those who don't want to pay or mess with hosting providers (although there will be some restrictions)

Some other great projects for the web revival

Fediverse is the replacement to big social networks
Indieweb is a movement for independent personal websites
Neocities and Nekoweb are static HTML hostings for individual creative websites
